ABOUT ME
Originally from Indonesia, I immigrated to New Zealand in 2001. I speak three different languages (English, Japanese and Bahasa Indonesia) and love travelling. I have traveled to more than 24 different countries in four different continents. Having traveled to different parts of the world, I have developed strength in interpersonal communications.

As a result, I am easy to interact with and I can easily adjust myself to new environments and cultures.
My work has been published in peer reviewed journals and presented in several international conferences in three different continents.

EDUCATION
RESEARCH INTERESTS
The general purpose of my research is to investigate the key principles underlying the effect of psychological factors on consumer behavior.
To date, I have worked in several different research areas. The theoretical background of my research into consumer behavior draws on the theory of acculturation (Berry, 2005), the theory of similarities (Crosby, Evans & Cowles, 1990), and the theory of emotions (Ekman, 1994; Izard, 1991; Plutchik, 1980).
I have also developed an interest in investigating digital piracy, brand, sales and tourism behavior. Most of my studies are predominantly quantitative and questionnaire based. However, recently I have begun to use more qualitative and observation oriented methods such as the word-thematic process and a netnography approach.
